STEDI lighting are manufactured to the highest standards, and all non-serviceable products are warranted against manufacturing and design defects when used for the purpose for which it was intended. Factory inspection will determine if the light is defective. This warranty applies only to STEDI products purchased new from an authorized STEDI distributor by the original purchaser and is strictly non-transferable.

 

A STEDI product that fails during normal use and is within the specified warranty period for that product will be replaced or refunded at our option. During the replacement/refund process, STEDI may, in its sole discretion, take possession of, or request the item to be destroyed in the field (proof of destruction must be provided, including photographs showing the item was made unusable). Warranty claims must be accompanied by proof of purchase and an explanation of the defect or failure. Any costs incurred to obtain warranty consideration or services are the Customer’s responsibility, including original fitment and installation/removal fees, diagnostics, shipping and handling, travel, lost time, or lost production.

 

Products that have reached end-of-life or have been discontinued will be replaceable as long as supply is available or other solutions will be offered at the sole and absolute discretion and determination of the Customer Experience Team.

 

THIS WARRANTY IS EXCLUSIVE AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

 

In no event shall STEDI be liable for consequential, incidental, or special damages resulting from or in any manner related to the product, its design, its use or any liability to use the same. The sole and exclusive remedy with respect to a defective product shall be the repair or replacement thereof.

Exclusions
 

Product(s) may be excluded from this warranty, with any pending claims rejected, in whole or in part, if STEDI determines that there is evidence of any one or more of the following:

•         The item has been subject to misuse, alterations, neglect, negligence, damage, or accident.
•         The item has not been installed in accordance with the instructions.
•         The item has not been installed in line with the vehicle or equipment manufacturer’s recommendations.
•         The item has been used with power supplies outside of the minimum & maximum voltage range and type.
•         The item shows evidence of unauthorised repair, disassembly or modifications not performed by STEDI
•         The item shows evidence of seal tempering which compromised the integrity of water-tight seal.
•         The item has been exposed to chemical pollutants and corrosive agents.
•         The item has been exposed to excessive road hazards, accidents, collisions and/or damage attributable to normal wear and tear.
•         Corrosion on the wiring harnesses and related accessories – proper maintenance of the harness is the responsibility of the customer, as any corrosion can create a high resistance              point and needs to be checked regularly.
•         Damage to product packaging.

 

This warranty does NOT apply to “consumable” products that, by the nature of their application, will wear out with normal use. 

 

Cosmetic Wear & Tear
 

The warranty does NOT cover cosmetic wear and tear on the product, including the coatings. Never use a caustic or petroleum base cleaner on any surface of the light; this may cause the failure of the lenses and seals and reduce clarity resulting in a reduction of light output and damage to the powder coating.

 

Surface Coatings

Our products use the highest-grade polyester UV rated powder coat. Our powder process has been proven to be incredibly durable under normal environmental exposure. We will not cover paint finish damage due to chemical exposure or high salinity which is present in some extreme environments. 

 

Lens Damage 

The lens material used on our products is used by the most respect brand in our industry. 

Please be aware that the chemicals below will cause polycarbonate to turn brittle and/or yellow:

Some of these chemicals can be found in abrasive car and heavy machinery washing solutions. Well-known products such as Rain-X and Armor All (but not limited to) contain many prohibited chemicals. We strongly recommend avoiding any products containing any of these chemicals as damage caused by chemical exposure will not be covered.
